Is Your Website's Contact Us Page Open For Business?
Released: 7/12/2005
By: Elizabeth Winslett
BIRMINGHAM, AL - You’ve spent time and money having the perfect site designed and all of the possible questions about your company’s products and services have been answered. Or have they? With all the time spent worrying about design and content, it’s important not to forget about arguably the most important page of all. The “contact us” page is the one that ultimately drives sales to your company’s door, so don’t neglect it. It seems simple enough, but an obscure location and a general lack of information are some of the most common complaints among web users.
When evaluating a contact us page, consider these two important points:
Is it easy to locate? The contact page should be easy to find on the home page and throughout the site. It happens all too often, a brochure-style website is so busy selling its products that it often forgets to help visitors find out how to get in reach the company when they are ready to buy.
Is it user friendly? The contact page should clearly list the different modes of contact. A user should be able to locate mailing addresses, company phone numbers, hours of operation, and more. The only area of caution is openly listing company email addresses. An email address is a powerful magnet and devilish spammers can’t wait to find them. Insist that your web design company protect you from spammers, but still allow visitors to email your company.
When your company’s contact page is open for business, it is a road to success. If you would like to learn more, check out our contact us page. We would be delighted to hear from you.
